Rocklands

Anyone fished rocklands recently? Or know what the fishings like in may?
Thinking of taking the family camping and fishing for a few days in the next few weeks.
Never been there before, probably camp at glendinning.

Haven't been there, a bit far for me. But there's been a talk that Rockland is becoming one of the best fishery.
Check fisheries website for fish stocks.
Considering you're going in may, probably try to fish for trout.
Use worms with running sinker or spoon lure.

This will get you fish. Maybe trout, definitely carp, probably redfin. Take plenty of worms though as the small redfin baitpickers chew through them pretty quick. You could easily go through 6 worms per hour per rod.
Murray Cod were released into this water last year but wont be of a size to target yet (if they survived the redfin). Plenty of yabbies in some areas too.
If you can get on the water then jigging around structure (dead trees) is usually good for redfin too.
Great spot to camp so hope you enjoy that. Glendinning is pretty well stripped of firewood but a short drive back down the road should produce plenty.

No idea, don't have a boat
If you're on a boat, try trolling diving lures for trout in 3-5 metres of water, or even 10.
Otherwise, go to a sunken trees and drop a worm bait. Or vertical jig some lures like ice jig and metal vibe like tt switchblade.

Ben no idea on the boat ramp but plenty of good options for launching off the bank if the ramp is high and dry.

Can't go wrong with worm.
Mmand maybe mudeyes under a float.
