Cairn Curran first timer

Post by Quenton » Mon Apr 11, 2022 9:44 pm

Hi guys, I finally got around to getting a new motor (2nd hand) for my tinny. Was thinking of trying Cairn Curran for first time. I don’t have a sounder. Any advice? I will likely be up Welshman’s end. Would love a Golden and some Reddies always welcome. Any suggestion welcome. Thanks in advance.

for yellas find some good structure and just use some soft plastics to swim up the tree if its a tree your fishing. maybe try and get a sounder it makes a difference. try this soft plastic it works well. Also their on sale so its a good time to get them. also if you aren't a member become one just ask at the checkout it doesn't cost any money and you save money.

Thanks fisho. Silly question - with those plastics do you feed the hook in from front or back, and should the hook present out the top or bottom?

Try trolling hardbody lures too, along the edges.
Stumpjumper lure for the natives and any small hardbodies lure around 5cm to 7cm for reddies.
