G'day everyone I'm heading east to mallacoota on the weekend and an in need of little guidance. What's the fishing like there at the moment and what is everyone using I'm only fishing the estuaries.

use soft plastics! there are some nice Dusky flathead in the Mallacoota estuaries! Also a chance of bream, salmon, tailor and Mulloway!

Thanks for that I heard a rumour about using vibes? What size and sorts of plastics do you recommend

Go to gypsy point and use prawns at night youll clean up easily i bagged out last time i went at the jetty in an hour but dont hold your rod they dont seem to like it just leave it on the jettyy also burley

I loved it over at Mallacoota and would love to make it a annual trip i hired a boat whilst over there and that was good but you defiantly need your own boat i was far to cautious not wanting to damage the hire boatand the time restrictions are no good you could fish all day easily. Caught only flathead but thats ok very inexperienced saltwater fishing man i am the high light of my trip was when my 2 yr pulled a small flat head in on a squiddgy from the boat ramp which i did not expect at all. All in all i would recommend Mallacoota to anyone.
