A bit slow but a few highlights

Post by re-tyred » Thu Dec 30, 2021 3:42 pm

Went early on a mates boat today. Took my oldest granddaughter. She is a keen Fisher. It was quite slow , picked up a few pinkies on the reef at the pipeline. Then went to the beach for a gummy. Just one good flattie and a small gummy. Then after half an hour, she was on.

Moved to a small rock and managed a 73cm snapper. Then one of the other kids on board was on big time. We all guessed another pt Jackson. After a huge struggle we started to pay attention. When he yelled it was a huge gummy, everyone rushed down to help. Nope not a gummy, just a 2 MTR Bronzie. :o_0: Unfortunately in a rush to get it, the line broke and it swam off. He will brag about that one for quite a while. Twice as big as him and no adult helping. :sr:

There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

Flatty tails and chips cooked by my granddaughter Phoebe. We might not send her home at the end of the holiday. Catches them and cooks them. :sr:
