out front today

Post by mr smokey » Thu Dec 02, 2021 4:32 pm

Headed out front at 0430 (first time out at the same time as Tony from Far Out). Headed towards a couple of marks towards The Pines & a bit further but given the forecast didn't want to chance it down to the Tower. Kept in about 19m of water. Ended up with 4 keepable gummies, couple of flatties, a nice 7 giller, 1 pinkie, more banjos than in Deliverance the movie and the odd 1 or 100 gurnards. Thankfully no skates/rays. A couple of very small school sharks went back in. Pillies the bait of choice. Didn't even look at the scads or anything else we offered. The threatened blow up didn't happen at lunchtime but we headed back anyway, just in case and it still hasn't arrived but Melb is getting smashed.

Gotta be happy with that. We had quite a few pinkies on Tuesday , straight of Metung in 36-38 mtrs

Nice.
How does 7 gill taste compared to gummies?

As far as I can tell, very little difference although others would disagree apparently.
