Lakes Entrance report

Post by ango » Sat Oct 09, 2021 3:37 pm

I went out for a fish this morning, my first time out for quiet a while. I went offshore form Lake Entrance, it seems every one else had the same idea today judging from the car park, I had to launch at Marine Parade rather than the skate park like I normally do. I had a crack around the general area of 6 mile, but only could manage gurnards, barber perch, sgt bakers and couta were about too so I had to re-rig a couple of times. One of the sgt bakers had me reaching for the net because they look like tiger flathead as you bring them up, I was pretty disappointed when I realized it was a sgt baker. After a while I went inshore around the Pines area and got 3 sand flathead, all around 35 -38 cm so at least I had a feed.
Cheers

Flathead on the plate is always welcomed.

At least it wasn’t a donut day mate.
Ended with a few nice flatties!
Cheers 👍🏻
