Shark Bait Sorted

Post by Whiskers » Fri Oct 08, 2021 7:33 pm

The recent floods in the Snowy has made the fishing hard work but but now that river levels are receding the fishing is picking up again.

One very noticeable change in the Snowy is the large numbers of eels that are on the chew. Some of them are monsters.

A session this afternoon produced a steady stream of eels (more bust offs than fish landed) but the one in the photo was kept for shark bait.

This one was about 150 cm and probably about 12 to 15 kg.

Plenty of shark bait in the freezer now!

Still yet to get anything decent on a southern rock cod despite how good I hear they are as bait. I will persist though.
