Lake Tyers

Post by re-tyred » Wed Jun 09, 2021 4:24 pm

Picture of Tyers at 3pm. Just before it started raining. Gale force winds and large swell tonight. I might go out for an after pic in the morning

There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

Peaked at 8mtrs. That's pretty big just 1nm from the beach. I see mt baw baw has had over 200mm in the last 24hrs. That is the headwaters of the Thomson (and the Yarra). Tanjil river is in major flood. Thomson and morwell rivers are at moderate flood levels. All that is heading for lake Wellington.

Is lake wellington connected to Tyers? I thought it was just the 2 creeks at Nowa Nowa and blackfellas arm that ran into it

Gotcha

I’ve been getting call outs for trees down all over the train tracks around Gippsland

Just pure crazy weather

Just went and checked Tyers. Still holding but it's on the brink. Can't see it lasting another day
