tough luck Carl. Did you see the pool of blood in the end?

You live around the area (15 min drive?) so you can easily go back. For city dwellers like me, 1.5 hours of drive and not catching anything is "disaster". Good thing petrol is a bit cheaper these days.

Hey mate....didn`t get to the end, blokes already fishing there...your right of course, it`s only ten minutes for me to get to Blairgowrie, so no great shakes. To be honest, if I`d been on my own, I`d have ended the day at Gunners..but I cadged a lift with my mate, so we stayed at Blairgowrie..could see what you meant about the gars...they kept swimming past in big schools..loads of people were catching them..was funny watching them having a go at the s/p`s..`cept when they bite the bloody tail off, little shysters..next weekend, I hope the weather`s better...backbeaches only for me...lol..

For salmon, Bgowrie is only OK very early in the morning when the school of salmon usually comes close within casting distance. I also prefer the sandy beaches than the concrete of Bgowrie.

gars, gars, gars everywhere - this year is the year of the garfish.

I hope the weather next weekend will be OK....

*QUICK Blairgowrie Pier report*
spent 3 hours squidding at Blairgowrie Pier yesterday afternoon (21/1/13) for 7 squid
all around 500 grams which is not a bad size for Blairgowrie
