Yamashita Ika Shime ( Squid Spike )
Yamashita Ika Shime (Squid Spike)
This is a Yamashita Ika Shime
Just wondering how many of you guys use this?
It terminates the Squid very effectively and Quick.
Also improves the eating Quality i heard. and makes it much easier to handle the Squid .
Heres a Link of it in action:-

This is a much more humane way of dispatching them....where can they be purchased?

Peninsula Total Tackle have them Jon, I think I have also seen them in BCF(not positive though) so they should be available at most good tackle stores.

Any hardware store, stocks flathead screwdrivers. I have one and it works just as well, besides they are heaps cheaper.Brett wrote:fishingvic wrote:This is a muck more humane way of dispatching them....where can they be purchased?

Once you sever the nerve, they're done for. I just use a knife and stab them in the same location. Makes no difference to me.
Pen Total Tackle definitely has them. I didn't bother getting it as I saw it as a waste of money.
Meh.. my 2c
