Yamashita Ika Shime (Squid Spike)

This is a Yamashita Ika Shime

Just wondering how many of you guys use this?
It terminates the Squid very effectively and Quick.
Also improves the eating Quality i heard. and makes it much easier to handle the Squid .

Peninsula Total Tackle have them Jon, I think I have also seen them in BCF(not positive though) so they should be available at most good tackle stores.

Any hardware store, stocks flathead screwdrivers. I have one and it works just as well, besides they are heaps cheaper.

Even cheaper still is any old screwdriver.

Once you sever the nerve, they're done for. I just use a knife and stab them in the same location. Makes no difference to me.

Pen Total Tackle definitely has them. I didn't bother getting it as I saw it as a waste of money.

This tool also had a tool to fix and straighten your Prongs on your Squid Jigg :tongue:
