The search for big squid

Headed of st Leonard’s today in search of big squid got plenty before leaving to search for bigger ones tried Lonsdale bite for nothing then point Nepean for nothing then going back at Leonard’s for a couple more but decent size with one at 40cm hood and a few around 1kg. Fishing bit slow but weather couldn’t get much better

I've never fished that side of the bay. Do you have to go far for squid off the ramp there?

Did you try off the cottage by the sea. Drifting along. You pass cottage by the sea as you enter queenscliff on the right it’s a big beige house

The squid grounds start 300m from st Leonard’s ramp and go all the way to swan bay and towards indented head

Yes did half a dozen drifts along there no luck :down:

Was at Point Lonsdale Bight yesterday-adjacent the Rock Wall from 0600 till 0930
2 of us picked up 6 to 41 hood size and lost about 4,using white jigs.
They came on early then shut down about 0800.
