on tackle worlds website for weekly reports, there is one about Mornington and 1 snapper being caught.

Slowest start to a snapper season I can remember ? will we blame Global warming ? Maybe the earths axis has changed ? OR people are very tight lipped ?

Normal start is a better description most of the last 8 years have been early starts compared with the last 30 years.

From all reports WP is firing early.. even I, the guy who can't catch a fish in Fiji, have landed red already.

Mostly winter reds not new season fish I suspect.

I have seen one pic of a new season fish it looks like they have just started to arrive.
