Hastings pier

Post by flemo » Sun Nov 20, 2011 9:27 pm

G'day all,
Went for a drive down to Hastings today for what I thought may be some fun pier fishing. Wind was blowing like mad and got no bites, may have been something to dowith the seal that was circling. Guys at the other end of the pier were pulling in a few fish, looked like mullet. Didn't stay too long as the wind managed to blow my small tackle box off the pier, last seen speeding off into western port bay!!!
Does anyone fish Hastings and if so what do people normally catch there? Also are there any good places to head when the wind picks up, other than the nearest pub obviously ;)
