whiting at merricks

What are the best rigs and bait to get whiting at merricks?
And some tips on where they are. thanks
PB- Snapper 55cm, Whiting 38cm, Flathead 55cm, Bream 38cm, Australian Salmon 55cm, Carp 80cm

Use the rigs and bait that you usually use when fishing for whiting.

It is a matter of finding some sandy area next to weed.

Thanks, i normally use patternoster with beads and tubing

Fresh squid cut into tiny strips will go well there. As Wolly said, find the weed and sand. A metre of water should be heaps.

when you say "fresh" do you mean catch it yourself ?

yes, catch the squid yourself! It's the only way to know it's actually "fresh".

When cut into small worm shaped strips, tenderise the squid if the whiting are being fussy.
