If the meat looks a bit pink when its frozen , this is a sign of a bit of blood still left in the meat. Leave it out for an hour roughly (still in the bag sealed ) , the meat will still be semi frozen , but the remaining blood will drain out of the meat with the defrosting water. Drain this out of the bag and reseal and refreeze while still semi frozen, or use it after draining any excess blood and fully

Thanks for this information, we went snapper fishing ended up with the 10yr old reeling in a 69cm elephant fish, may have been a little late bleeding it so has come out pink in fillets. Going to try your idea and freeze them! Was super cool and a pretty amazing looking fish
The 10 yr old is very excited to try for the first time
he also is our only one to have caught 2 last night and he out did his biggest catch by 9cm (previously caught a 60cm yellowtail kingfish when fishing)
