Re: Flinders pier
Theres heaps of species at flinders. Squid all over the pier. Half way up on the old pier near the lower landing on your right you can catch kgw. Three lights back from the end of the pier there are mullet, tommy ruff, grass whiting, wrase, the odd salmon and my favorite squid spot. At the end of the pier there is heaps of leather jackets and the odd trevally. ( my mate caught a nice 2kg snapper off there last year )

Fished there on 2 occasions last year. No squids or fish. donuts both times. I wasn't familiar with this pier. Saw others caught squids & gummy.

Re: Flinders pier
The pier is heavily fished these days, at any one time there will be at least 50 squid floats in the water sometimes up to 100+ with no exaggeration. I no longer fish there as its too crowded, but there is still fish there if you can get a spot. Majority of spots are taken up by squiders so get there early or a bit before high tide, having said that even then you probably wont get your desired spot.
