Station Pier, Port Melbourne, 17/01/13

Post by Eug1 » Fri Jan 18, 2013 11:15 am

Went fishing at Station Pier yesterday from 10:30am until about 3:30pm, pretty much straight of the end along the guard railing. Caught a 49cm flathead :D on paternoster rig using bluebait. While there I saw others catch a 30cm flathead and an undersize pinkie. There were a lot of baitfish (white bait?) in the water as well, especially the northern side of the pier.
Cheers, Eug.

bait fish = salmon. Try spinning lures or SP while waiting for a hit on your bait.

when u fish at station pier, is it the actual ship pier ? or the small pier on the side?
