True, scary to just thinking about it.
Here's one from Anaconda for $27.99 not bad.
Tape it to a pvc pipe or something, should do.
Yea that thing looks like a beauty.
That’s one thing I ALWAYS worry about at night when coming back!
Just so you get an idea Seb and others who are fishing without lights on the water on calm evenings in late oct into nov on Westernport theres always lots of boats on the water between Corinella and Rhyll id imagine even more around Hastings and theres always tinny's in the mix with no lights at all and you can't see them sometimes until your within 50m away. A kayak is going to be harder to see.

If for some reason you mistakenly get stuck out after dark with no lights its a tragedy waiting to happen.
Thanks RB, noted in bold.
$27.90 light on a pole is a cheap trade off for safety.
I've never really fished well into the night, always paddling back when the sun's out (some light left).
But yes, in case of stuck later in the night a good light is a must.

Good news is I sold the two kayaks! And now planning for the next step.

Saving money for sure and do more research to weigh the pros and cons between hobie/native watercraft or a small boat.

Even a small one man or two man boat sounds ideal atm, like this new 2019 polycraft 3.0 tuffy.

Finally have filleted them, removed most of the bad stuff as suggested by you guys. Only keep the 'white' flesh. ;-)

If it can save one person from trouble , , , , then flog away . rb, I think we can never be too careful and we should always feel like speaking out about safety , , , , so, never see it as being a nancy

PLUS , , , , it's Seb :notworthy: , , , , we wouldn't want anything bad to happen to him

Cheers, Bugs , , , , who is a nancy , , , , but when I wear my heels, I'm Daisy :-D

I still keep my super sharp filleting knife from the chef-ing days, it certainly helps

Usually, oily and 'fishy' fish are good to be smoked. Has anyone tried smoking aussie salmon?
