Re: Albert park lake round 2
Are some areas of the lake better than others or doesn't it matter that much? Thinking of giving it a try soon.

The lake is pretty flat with weed evenly around the whole area.
Best is to cover areas by casting lures walking around the lake. They can be anywhere.
I've fished there at diff spots and caught (and not caught) at various spots.

Thanks Sebb. So a bit like a freshwater version of the lake in Point Cook which I have fished many times so very used to the weed.

Re: Albert park lake round 2
Yea pretty much.
I live in point cook, I know what you mean. Exactly it.
Albert park lake has about 30-50cm from the top of the weed to the water surface, some spots are even less.
Best to use shallow dive hardbodies or spinners and keep just above the weed. The fish will come up and hit the lure.
There are some with less weed or the weed isn't all the way to the top, that you can use other lures. Soft plastic or spinner bait.
So yeah, best is to walk around, look at the weed and use applicable lures.
