Silver whiting bait.
Tide 6 ish.
Went for late session n anchored about 7.30 tonight.
10 mins in n onto big red, get fish to side of boat n could not find net , tried to lift it in by leader and but bugger got off ..70cm or so red)

Bitten of few times but managed to land a few mid 55 red.
Was like fishing in isolation, only 2 boats in area....
To many boats kayak, helicopter , catch a fish,catch a fish

Biggest snapper went 50cm
To many boats kayak, helicopter , catch a fish,catch a fish

What do you do with the salmon?, they must be 60cm long, do you use them for bait because at that size they taste horrible, actually, at any size. Nice catch by the way

Bingo, might salt some for land base fishing.
Rest try n catch a gummy on or reds.
Yeah they taste crap ..

I imagine a nice big fillet off one of those would be very tempting to a Gummy or 2, those Salmon would have fought like a freight train
