Yarra bream last weekend

Went to yarra around web bridge Sat morning. Tried low budget gear from AliExpress. $60 reel and $30 rod. They're meant to be "car gear".

Landed a small bream, probably around 20-23cm, and missed a big bream (definitely 30+cm) as it came back for second all the way to the surface and i saw it. Both on 2 gram rudies gyoshi rubber (basically micro rubber jig).
Few taps on plastics, but none landed.
My mate caught an EP around 30cm.
