Thanks for the replies everyone. Hopefully everyone here can get onto a few. My best tip is to get away from other boats. I had to do the old lower the rod, loosen the drag and pretend nothing to see here while playing a fish when a boat got to close a couple of times this morning. I thought one guy was going to anchor right behind me but thankfully he didn't.

Well had a try at 16m off black rock, started sounding at the 16m area for about 45mins around some boats and well away from any boat but no fish showing
Found a bit of a gutter in 16.5 anchor down around 5am
Sat there for an hour with continuous burley but didn't turn a reel
There was a reasonable current running north probably due to the e/nth east wind
At 6am pulled the pick motored over to fawkner beacon area fot tide change had 3 buckles but no hookup
Well thats fishing
Having a day off from early fishing mornings back to it tomorrow straight to fawkner beacon atsa i think where i got a couple of 2kg fish on sunday

Nice one Samjas

How is the depth of the ramp at the moment? Still shallow?
