Shimano cranx travel rod with Stradic CI4+ C3000 both brand spanking new. It came with rovex rod and reel combo also unused. A bit dusty from storage but unused.

Looking at the ongoing prices, the lot could be worth up to $650.

I paid $100.

I hope not. Lol. I met him kerb side in his place.
The guy was cleaning up the garage and throwing away rubbish left behind by former room mate.

I was browsing FB and saw it online. The pictures were too bad. Too blurry. He said the items were dusty. The photos only showed the butt sections of the rods. No tips. Being a Stradic user, I recognized the drag knob. I was only after the reel even for spares so $100 was OK for me. I was surprised those were complete combos. I was kissing the combo on my way home. LOL.

Absolute bargain. Gotta jump on stuff like that as soon as it's listed.
I haven't had too many great deals, but have given away quite a fair bit of bargains.

My best purchase from marketplace would be a Bluetooth speaker worth 240 bucks or so (Marley get together) for$10 brand new still in box.

Scored a few bargains over the journey.

When I screwed up and bought the wrong motor for the boat I sold it for $1200 profit even after paying shipping from cairns.

Weights I bought when semi motivated for $50 and sold for $450 at the start of covid pt1

But I prefer to find bargains when buying stuff, buy extras and flog em off on Facebook marketplace. I’m mostly over it now. But when it was in its infancy grey importing was a good money spinner if you were already buying something.

I remember a few years ago now buying a bucket load of gulp plastics from here I think. Returned half to big w for a full refund and the other half I sold on Facebook for a tidy profit. Made a couple hunj.

My best couple was a diawa demon blood for $50 and about 40 stump jumpers brand new in box for $120

I've never jagged a gumtree/ebay/marketplace bargain but a mate scored 3 x 10k Twinpower SW with 2 x Terez 72MH. All 3 reels spooled with ocea ex8 for $600. Dunno why only 2 rods but anyway... All my bargains have been bnib in shops or through contacts. 2 x TR200Gs for $90, rrp $120 each. Chronarch 50MG $225, rrp $380. 2k Luvias $290, rrp $490. 2004 Certate $310, sticker on the box $499. And the most recent TD Black Ltd $86 with the help of a $20 off code, rrp $210
