Honestly if you're looking for an all rounder from majorcraft you should grab the 832e model. I had an 832e skyroad and now have an 862e truzer and a friend of mine had an 832el or 802el (can't remember length) and he also ended up getting a 862e truzer and commented that it was much more suited as an all rounder. the el models don't feel the best when you throw 3.5 jigs but the e models can still work 2.5 comfortably

Hey Seb forget what the rovex felt like i had one at the start for squid (crap) like everybody say,s you dont need a specific rod well i call baloney .A proper squid rod make,s it so much more enjoyable. I bought the solpara sps-832e great rod used it for a year no problem,s now keep it as a back up rod.Now the daiwa emeraldas mx86ml is my baby just a fantastic rod yep cost,s abit more so if i was you and going to continue chasing squid just save some more buck,s if not the solpara is a good rod

Yea I wish I could get the Emeraldas MX, but too costly at the moment.

The model solpara i have is a great rod if i was you i would go down to southern sports fishing about mid morning and have a chat to Wayne and tell him tackleworld are having a sale on egi rods which you are in the market to buy a new rod and see what he has to offer he is a very easy guy to deal with

I’ve got a rovex and a Sephia. The rovex feels like absolute dogs ass in comparison.

The Sephia is sickkkkkkkkkkk if you are casting a lot.

It’s smooth to use and it slings 3.5 jigs like no tomorrow.

And thats exactly why you pay more for the better ones..
some fishermen whine when they hear how much others are spending on fishing gear. but they will shut up as soon as they start to use the better stuff.

these two brands are targeting entirely different markets. It's the balance between cost and outlay I own some high quality gear and some bashed up tried and true hardware that gets the job done time again it all depends on species.

For egi I don't get excited by the specialist rods but thats just me...

Species like squid, whiting, snapper and gummy shark, bream as bread and butter fishing don't need anything special when using bait or even jigs for squid. The higher end is great and believe me I have enough of it to agree I just don't like misconceptions that its a prerequisite to catch squid or fish me personally would not purchase rovex but it's not to say it doesn't work.

For Squid I use the gomoku rods as they are versatile for me to take in my boat offshore use for jigging and to collect bait. Have no drama getting my bag.

Sure, use a rovex or a hand line to catch squid. They both work.... but my Sephia still makes my Rovex feel like ass.

And I’m sure the original poster was asking for feedback on the models he posted???
