I know the knives aren't the same size, but the point stands.
----------------------------
Surecatch Crimp:
Work great for the $50 or so dollars, but every time I sit down and make up some rigs, I have to tighten the bolt.
the head of the crimps is slightly off center, causing slightly uneven crimping.
7/10
---------------------------
Atomic bream and berkley puppy dog:
The berkley is the clear + orange.
Caught nothing on the atmoic.
Caught 8 small bream (20cm) and around 10 of the *things* possibly yellowtail trumpeter's (unidentified)
Also caught a 25cm-ish flathead in the shallows of estuary.
Doesn't mean the atomic doesn't work at all. juvenile mullet where thick in the estuary and the berkley was a similar color.
atmoic 5/10 (wasn't ideal color for location)
berkley 9/10 (catches weed easily, a lot)
-----------------------------
Plano boxes:
My two larger ones, for my terminal (not sinkers) tackle
The standard, not waterproof box I use on the boat.
New waterproof box.
The issue I have with the new box is you cannot split the compartments equally. as seen below:
the best one can do is a small middle compartment, which Is unsuited due to how I store my gear.
I do however store sinkers in a smaller version.
this box, is great, it in itself holds my sinkers, around 2-3kg, I can shake the box and everything, without it coming undone, which I couldn't do with the other standard box.
The front compartments cannot be removed, it is split into 3 areas.
standard box: 8/10 (all rows, no larger area, like the blue waterproof one on the right side.
blue waterproof guide series: 9/10 (cannot due to large area, areas are pre defined heavily)
yellow guide series box: 9/10 (front compartment is already set)

Marttini vs rapala (ex marttini)
just looking at the knives, there is a huge quality difference, the rapala's sheath is not real leather, and is tacky, sewed with a thin cotton and rusts.
The martini's sheath is 100% leather, the logo is imprinted not painted on, the sewing is with very thick cotton and the leather does not split apart. (as shown in pictures)
The blade of the rapala chipped on a backbone of the a snapper I was filleting, the rapala remains un changed and razor sharp.
The rapala has a lot more flex and the steel doesn't loose it's natural shape, the rapala does bend and stays bent.
The pictures will show this.
There is a large gap between the blade and handle, which rusts, despite me cleaning the knife every use.
looking closely here, the blade is chipped.
The blade has little flex.
The sheath is not real leather, and is coming apart.
The marttini is the a similar knife but so much better built.
Marttini: 9/10
Rapala: 6/10
