Do they need to have the wire rings & a float? (The Diamond one below doesnt seem to have them)

I put a float on and cut the top part off a black plastic pot plant holder -make in about 1inch thick and attach using tie straps

I got stainless steel rings from SPOTLIGHT and tied them in, making a 'barrel'.
Also got a float from bunnings and filled with canned spray foam.
Pity I havent caught a fish since making it......
I blame my Mrs for taking bananas on the boat...

I use a Wilson scaler net from Anaconda $60 with plastic rings and rope with s/s swivel and closing clip and float

I think whiting like bananas because I like bananas and catch plenty of whiting
