How to use Lazer trolling sinker

Post by Sebb » Sat Jun 20, 2020 7:20 pm

So I found this and bought this but forgot to ask which end to tie where. :rf:

Does anyone know?
Which end goes to the lure and to the main line?

There's round end and pointy end. Also the wing has uplift/downlift.

Looks to me that you would alternate which end will face the rod tip depending on how deep you want it to run. Fat round end to run deep and pointy end for shallower.

When used for trolling, the purpose of these weights is to push the lure down deeper.
To achieve this ,the fat end which has the wings inclined down is at the front or rod end,
This causes water pressure against the wings to angle the sinker down.
Never tried them the other way around but logically the reverse would occur And the sinker would plane up.
A rather lengthy reply to explain a simple action I guess, hope it is clear.

To find a fish
You do the miles.
Catch the fish
and earn the smiles.

Lord, allow me to catch a fish, so large that even I,when speaking of it afterwards.........May have no need to lie !!!

Makes sense. Just like an aeroplane going up and down.

Bought it at Hooked on Bait and Tackle at Hoppers Crossings.
Someone on Facebook said some Tackle World stores have it too.
