Waders Info Please

Has anyone ever considered wearing a wet suit for wading rivers? I have one from my scuba days and have been thinking that it would probably work.

Yup. Decided that it isn't ideal. To me anyway.
Wet suit is designed to keep us warm underwater. When out of the water, the wind/air sweeps that heat away.
So if you're always in the water, probably okay, but with wading/fishing we're in and out the water constantly, hence not a good idea to me.
Wader (with thermals if needed) is still a better option.
