snorkeling , free diving around warmies in newport

Hey guys just wondering if anyone knows if you are allowed and if it is any good around the warmies in Newport heard the fishing is good but have not seen what the water is like

I wouldn't even think of snorkeling at the warmies too dangerous!

Aside from Sharing a narrow channel with boats what's so dangerous about the warmies

^ Nothing. People are offering advice on something they havne't done and no nothing about.

The Yarra is dirty but you're not going to die from swimming in it for an hour. Not sure you'll be able to see much mind you.
