Melbourne Boat show Impressions - whatdidyathink?

Post by Bartnmax » Mon Jun 17, 2013 9:46 pm

Ok, so I popped into the boast show on Saturday as a guest of my Bro-in-law whom was working on his stand exhibiting Seatrial trailers.
Had a great time (spent nearly 8 hrs in there) & saw some stuff in there that had me drooling for near the entire 8 hrs.
Ok, so what were the highlights? Here they are (not in order of preference);
1. Sitting in on Paul Carter's lecture on squid fishin (always such a great learnin experience. Paul is a true master)
2. New Evolution 6mtr extreme (hhhhmmmmm evo extreme gaaaaaa.............)
3. Sailfish cats (oooooooh, they're getting better every year)
4. New Stabicrafts. Just ripper boats.
5. Pick of the show (by far) the fabulous White Pointer 730 hard top with 225 Yam donk. Oh JESUS I want one sooooo bad.

The Whitepointer impessed me more than any boat has ever impressed me before.
I've been out in a 750 hard top vrey briedfly & was very impressed at the time.
There is absolutely nothing I don't like about these boats.
Gees them Kiwis can build great boats.

Also impressed with the number of companies now making anchor winches.
Some good-uns there & they're getting cheaper every year.
Give it 10 years & I might be able to afford one ;-)
(Nah, thinkin about getting nonjhe for next snapper season)
Ok, so let's hear what everybody thought if the show.

Ok, so what everyone think?
