It hasn't been to bad yet, just light but constant where I am. Looks like the north of the state is getting most of it.

Just reading some of the Facebook comments and people are going on about it being caused by cloud seeding. Is this a real thing, surely not?

It's been the same down here in Tassie as well Sebb, way to many rainy days, forecast for Sheffield is for 200 mm from late this afternoon, flood warnings are out as well. The rivers haven't really had a chance to drop to safe wading levels for ages, I've really had to pick and choose which is the safest areas to fish since the trout season opened in August.. Like you mate & many others, I've had a guts full of the rain.. :dn:

cheers
Adrian
200mm is a lot!
Yeah it can be dangerous to wade high and fast water.
Take care Adrian. No fish is worth a life.
Spot on Sebb, don't worry I don't go near the water when it's running high and fast even more so when it's raining like it now. The Mersey River has already hit 3.25 meters and still rising, most roads near it have been closed, the small tannin streams I like to fish are now broken the river banks. The Meander River, another of my favorite rivers is running at 2.7 meters and rising. We've already had 125 mm here in Sheffield and the rain is forecast to continue on until the early hours of tomorrow morning.
cheers
Adrian

Hydro Tasmania cloud seed down here and apparently it has to be a certain type of cloud formation for it to work, even if they did cloud seed I doubt that it would be as bad as this is, plus it wouldn't cover the area this weather has traveled from QLD, NSW, Victoria across Bass Straight and into Tasmania. When they do cloud seed here. It normally in a area that's need rain to fall in a certain area to top up the Hydro dams and lakes. I wouldn't take all that much notice on what you read on Facebook..

It's not good at all is it, let's hope that's the last that type of weather for a very long time, 217 mm here by the time it stopped at 2:50 am this morning.
Now they're saying we could have a bit more rain and thunderstorm later.. that will just top it off.. :dn: This lot of rain and flooding is worse than the 2016 floods that we had. I'm about to head of to check out a river or two proving they're not closed off.

cheers
