This is yet another level of state revenue raising - I'll be voting accordingly in November.
Plus, the two years of lockdowns and "rules" was more than enough for me.

Can't read the link Sebb... if it's anything like Tassie, entering private land one must gain permission from the landowner, a private/commercial company (such as Forico, hardwood plantations) permission must also be gained and most of them here won't give it due to anyone getting injured while they're on the property. A lot of trout fishers here think a trout license gives one the right to enter anyone's property, it doesn't. So I don't know if this is what you are referring to, then the laws in your state more than likely differ from what we have in Tassie as well, different states may have different laws.

cheers
Adrian..
It's different Adrian.
I just posted the article.
To me it sounds like if I wanter to fish a river, going off track to jump in and wade, I would need a permit.
Sounds like it's just another way of getting more $$$'s from those who like to get out and about Sebb.. It's a typical plan from someone who's sitting on their arse with nothing better to do than find another way of taking money from people, a pretty pathetic idea that's for sure..

cheers
Adrian

Yeah, pretty disappointing really...
Is it just for control that there looking at doing it ??
Green reasons ?? after all, the new green nature lover, lives inner city with a few pot plants on there front balcony..

Up north, there stopping boaters from camping on some of the remote islands.. There main beef is that in some instances, SOME leave rubbish and don't do the right thing,, So, the majority must suffer for the few that make mistakes..
bush areas where 4x4 drivers go on weekends and camp etc etc...

I believe it's mainly for control !! politics...
I hope Victoria votes accordingly, this shut down of our country is on the rise...

Yeah, I won't be following these rules. It's one thing to have laws around littering, lighting fires etc. but to tell us where we can and can't walk, where we can and can't swim, where we can and can't fish, is too much. These are legitimate recreational activities that shouldn't require permits.

You do realise these proposed regulations are within the same management discussion papers that contained the regulations regarding special approvals for fishing in parks and parklands that somehow, with no idea how or who was responsible within DELWP, was supposedly incorrectly written and was not what they were proposing at all when it copped some huge flack. I.E. a giant backpedal. DELWP are a shitstain of a department filled with inner city wankers and ecoterrorists. They would lock the whole state up if they could get away with it
