WHATS YOUR BEST FISH?

hey,

just wondering what your pb's are for fish species you have caught.

this is my list: :wt:

Murray cod- 47.5 cm
carp- 63 cm 2 kilos
rainbow trout- 62cm (it was not wild it was in a mates pond)
yella- 53 cm

i am yet to catch a salt water species :dn:

Never really keep a record, measure and that's it, forget them all easily.

However, I remember I had a fishing competition with an octopus once, and I lost...
Because I was using one fishing tackle while the octopus was using its ten-tackles... 🤣

I wish I kept records years ago before mobile phones and **** but he are a few from memory.

Brown trout- 69cm
Rainbow- 61cm
Mulloway- 83cm ( but I reckon I caught a few in the early 80's that were bigger)
Snapper- 88cm
Salmon 68cm
Bass- 47cm

Probably more but thats a few

I fish LB. Here is what I will always remember.

95cm mulloway on SP, 1/0 could be 2/0 jig, 10 lb leader, 10 lb braid, from the beach.

90cm snapper from the beach.

3kg squid from the beach.

60 cm flathead from the beach on SP.

Countless salmon from, you guessed it.. b1tch! :-)

New addition:

Rainbow trout from stocked location - 75cm, 4.5 kg

Some great captures guys my most memorable catch meter plus Kingfish.

Gummy shark 128 Cm overall length --
Elephant fish 85 Cm --
Snapper 91 Cm --

25 kg wahoo off Zanzibar
3.5kg carp on 1 kg Gippsland lakes
77cm snapper
My first kingie at Montague around 8 kg
60cm salmon at cuttagee

Black Bream - 44.5cm
Yellowfin Bream - 44cm
Dusky Flathead - 85cm (4lb line) bycatch when fishing for bream
Flathead - 65 or so from memory
Squid - 47cm hood
Mulloway - 77cm (6lb line)
Snapper (lure) - 78cm (4lb line )
Snapper (Bait) - didnt measure but easily over 85cm
Estuary Perch - 42cm (pretty sure ive caught bigger, but not proof as it wasnt measured)
Snook - 1.something meter didnt measure properly
Bass - 20 something centimeter
salmon - 67cm (4lb line)
Tuna - 35kg schoolie
Kingfish - 73cm or so from memory
Trevally - 52cm from memory
Gummy shark - 15kg
King george whiting - 44cm (Bait) 42cm (lure)
Yellowfin whiting - 42cm (lure)
Tailor - 56cm
Rainbow Trout - XOS Stocked lake special 3.5kg
Brown Trout - Farm caught special

pretty sure ive forgotten some, most if not all of these fish have all been possible due to getting the boat.
