Long time no speak

Post by Broomstick » Thu May 13, 2021 11:02 am

Hi everyone, it's been a while!

I haven't fished a whole lot the last couple of years, but we have recently bought a place in far north Queensland and I've got the bug again. I've started a fishing instagram for anyone interested:

Also, if anyone is interested in wildlife photography, this is the reason I haven't been fishing much lately (it's tough to make time for two obsessions!):

Anyway, hope everyone is well and catching lots of fish :)

Pat

WB!

Property in FNQ would be the dream, especially if it was a remote property close to a river / beach.

I miss your fishing blogs. Feel free to do some trips soon and post some more blogs!

Thanks mate, it's up in the rainforest. Lots of rivers with sooties and jungle perch nearby, and only 20 mins from the beach so can't complain :)

Ahhhh yes the Gympie Gympie. It’s been getting quite a bit of of publicity in the international media the last couple of years. I had some American friends questioning me about this plant that causes a lifetime of excruciating pain... I think someone else was posting about it here a while back too

I’m sure broomstick is well educated on it though

I've been done by Gympie Gympie before and I can confirm it's not pleasant! I only just brushed it with my foot and did all the right things treatment wise (wax strip's to remove hairs, treated with mild hydrochloric acid solution) and it still hurt for weeks

Sorry Gra I missed this message! Bristle is good, him and mum just bought a landcruiser with all the trimmings and are going to start touring. Luna and Lando are living with them in Melbourne and getting spoilt and fat. I'm not sure about a fishing lodge, but we have a guest house that we will air bnb!

Hope you're well mate :)
