Yes. MetEye is a service of the BOM... where the other apps like WillyWeather and Fishraider pull their data.
The fact is that one is no more accurate than the other. The difference between them is how they present the data they pull all their info from the BOM.

I use this because I can plan my trip according to wind strength and direction as to where and when to fish

Windy comm Shows what is comming around Aust.
Bay wind.Shows whats around the bay at the same time.No use fishing at St Leonards if a 20 knot odd wind comming down the bay from The Fawkner Beacon
There are only 2 spots where the wind data is taken on the water The Fawkner Beacon and South Channel Island,
Dont be fooled -Indented Heads and St Leonards are only a few kliks apart.Indented Heads gets its data from Avalon 23klm NE away and St Leonards 17klm SW away gets its data from South Channel Island-A difference of 40 klm there
I still check the cameras at the ramps and have a large and small wind vane to look at

Fish Ranger seems to be the closest to accurately forecasting in the west of Vic.

I use weatherzone here in Tassie, but like one of the weather meteorologists stated, being an Island one can't really predict a seven day forecast correctly because it can change so fast. I just go 2 days at a time with it anyway..

Fishranger uses both the free GFS data and the paid for BOM data. GFS modelling is done in the US and on balance is less accurate in Australia than the modelling the BOM does, however these are all just estimates based on what a supercomputer thinks is the most likely outcome. Where there are a number of different but equally likely outcomes you often get weather that is quite different from what is forecast.

I think WW just uses the GFS data because it’s free.
