Fishing Portland

Post by Wombatroo » Sun Nov 08, 2020 7:14 pm

I am taking my boat for the first time down to Portland in a couple of weeks.
I fish on my own and just wondering is there anything I need to watch out for? Like direction of winds etc?
I have no intentions of going miles out.
Cheers Tanrnia

What size boat will you be fishing out of?
Ideally wind from the north to n/w will give you glassed out conditions where as easterlies will be ugly (depending on wind strength). Unless you have a direct easterly you will always be able to find a spot around the corner of the breakwall to get a feed.

Thank you so much. I have a 4.5 metre. That's what I needed to know. :ch:
