Does the 25km rule apply to boating?

Yes. The 25km rule applies from your home (or workplace if you are a permitted worker). Boating must be undertaken within 25km of your home or workplace (if you are a permitted worker carrying your permitted worker permit).

This means if you live further than 25km from the water you cannot go boating under the current Second Step restrictions.

While boating you cannot travel more than 25km from your home. You can land at multiple locations however they all must be within 25km of your home.
