What would you do if you won LOTTO
What would you do if you won LOTTO
A Queensland Tradie has won Lotto and is going to be living every fisho's dreams , , , , he is going to buy a house and just go fishing.
If I had won Lotto, outside of establishing financial security for my immediate family (the Ex included) the things I would do are:
* Become Professionally Lazy
* Cook very minimally , , , , just a step up from boiling water Eat out and/or get food delivered through Ubug Eats or Buglog (might have to work on that name ) , , , , oh, plenty of KFC, and have hornet over to help enjoy the KFC
* Fishing , , , , from my new Clayton Gallant 7.4
As far as quitting (I'm self-employed so difficult), But if I was an employee, I wouldn't quit , , , , no way. I would get sacked
What would you do if you had won Lotto?
Cheers, Bugs

Re: What would you do if you won LOTTO
Heard a lot of queenslanders won lotto.
Gotta be smart on how and what where to spend it. Some winners blew it all and ended up back to workforce.
Not that I buy lotto, but if I won, yes definitely pay off the home loan for self and family and friends. Charity and all.

Firstly I'd go to centrelink & put an employee over my knee and give them a good spanking
Then I'd buy a Winnebago and just go
Wife wants to go to England, so I'll let her
No boat, just use charters
Missed out again

There's a raffle that comes up on this site, now and then

Re: What would you do if you won LOTTO
Hmmm .. better rethink this one Bug
Surely this will be the quickest way for your new found wealth to be passed onto your kids' new uncle to spend on your behalf i reckon... especially when combining with your new found career - Laziness Professional
This question is still a dream for me - checked the ticket for last night draw and came up nought Zil Nahnah Nothing!! Guess will have to relocate to Qld for a better chance at this game IMHO (sorry Bowl and Texas ... no gifts for you both .. and my shifty tatts agency fella whom always assued me he gave me the winning ticket - promised him i will gift wrapped a new boat with plenty of 1980's Chikko Roll girls on top if i struck lucky)
Apart from the above promises made, would still rock up to work as normal so to avoid friends and family that you never knew existed rolling up at your front door!!! ... will start bookings travel arrangements to retrace any of the Robson Green Extreme Fishing series with the better half ... and of course a new 6+m boat wilk be waiting when i landed back on Oz soil.
Bugger ... boss called .. need to get back to work and reality .. always the next mega jackpot in waiting i guess

Dont do lotto tho if i won it being a simple man
Buy a car, camper and small boat.
Give some of my family some cash
Invest half it and live off what i keep and get paid from investments
Go fishing and camping all the time and work on my youtube channel and my hobbys of photography.

Re: What would you do if you won LOTTO
For 800k at this stage of my life and finances I would:
- put a portion into a long term "set and forget" style investment
- put a portion towards a reasonable "dream home" deposit
- get some fishing and camping related toys
- keep working but hope for an early retirement

Good question. I’d keep it simple and buy a little tinny and get myself a Penthouse pet to wash it after use. She can cook me some breakfast too.

Re: What would you do if you won LOTTO
I would need a lot more than 800K to quit my job for good.
We would pay off the house and i would buy a modest new boat.. Surtees 540 Workmate hardtop probably. The misses would no doubt want a new caravan.
If it was just me, i would pay off the house and rent it out. Spend $100K on a cruising sailboat and use the rest to live off for a few years sailing the tropics.

The only thing better than serenity is a two stroke at full throttle!
