They log the name you give them when you venture out.
So I'd say yes you could give a different name each time.

I've had mates use the boat name as well as a personal names or business names.

As long As they log you in and log you off each trip I don't think they care what name you use.

Wouldn't it just be easier to use your rego as opposed to trying to figure out what knucklehead called his boat balls deep and then trying to get contact info should a mishap occur

So what if you're on a kayak that isn't registered? You just pick something?
Yeah just give your kayak a name
Can I give a new name each trip?
Yeah you could . No one would know. Usually they ask for a name a description and number of people onboard. There is also an app you can use
There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

P.s. You can not be "over & out"
Over - you are waiting for a response
Out - you are finished
So you can't be waiting for a response, if you're finished

You would be surprised how many individuals who are supposed to be "professionals" in many fields say "Over and Out".
Makes me smile (and cringe) that Movies have so much influence on people.

Yes, it is either "Over" , , , , or , , , , "Out" , , , , not both, not a biggy but a funny

The other part of Marine Radio etiquette that annoys me is the lack of adherence to the Radio Silence for 3 minutes after the hour and the half hour so that Coast Guards etc can monitor for any distress messages (in the event of faint signals).

Cheers, Bugs , , , , who can be quite faint himself :-D
