I like that all the peanuts in politics and the media who were yelling from the rooftops that we needed to open everything up ASAP have gone quiet of late.

Also seeing how the US fared when they tried to open everything up again while there was still a lot of spread according to the official numbers (and probably even more spread that wasn't being documented) shows what a bad idea it would've been to open up early the way these people wanted.

If you feel strongly enough about it, just go. The precedent was set 3 weeks ago,

No don't be stupid.

As for the precedent urged not to protest and organisers fined.

Just a shame 1000 or so protesters were not fined as well.

The more people think like this the longer we'll have these lockdowns. Apparently Dan threatened to lock the entire state down again if people didn't get their **** together.

Take it on the chin, it's only a month or so.

It was tongue in cheek. More a comment on the protest than anything else. Seriously though, plenty will have that approach and stick to their guns about it.

Again this is not correct. The evidence shows that most people had already given up social distancing etc several weeks before the protest.
