Yeah, I'll get the guys at BCF to spool the reel for me then FG the leader as you recommended.

While lockdown life is **** for everyone involved, I managed to move to Currarong on June 30 and pick up a full time Martial Arts job. Currarong is the last town on the Beecroft Penninsula, and walking distance to some of the most famous and impressive rock fishing spots (many already featured in this thread) in the world.

We aren't allowed to train for the time being, and the fishing here in August is comparable to the fishing in VIC in August. With a month or so before the Kings start to warm up, I thought I'd take the opportunity to walk into every single rock spot in Shoalhaven, and share some of the highlights here.

I'll post new sets of pics regularly until we're back at the gym.

Disclaimer: Fishing isn't banned here and no restrictions were broken. Also, please dont' turn this into an argument about Rock Fishing safety.

First spot is just off the Beecroft Weapons Range. The things you find while you're exploring for fishing spots.....

I can’t believe you’re not wearing a pfd and leashing yourself to the rocks while fishing during lockdown

Some Images from 'The Tubes', arguably the most famous rock fishing platform in the world, which I've been hitting fairly frequently with a couple from the gym.

This is one of the few places you can consistently catch Marlin from the shore and is an unbelievably comfortable place to fish. The structure you can see is an abandoned gun platform built in WW2.

Not much action in the middle of winter, but a very relaxing and safe ledge, and nice to have the place to ourselves most weekends.

Better invest in a kiddie swimming pool and a whipper snipper motor soon if you want to blend in with the locals for the summer frenzy..

It may be a dumb question...why the motor?

It's attached to a pump. It saves you rope and bucketing water into the pools at the start of the day. I don't mind the bucket technique but the locals here fish in groups of 6-10 -15 people so carry a dozen bait pools around with them. Much easier to take that kind of thing if you have a heap of guys to distribute the load.

I prefer to fish alone, hence, no whipper snipper motor for me.
