There is a bloke who goes down to Olivers Hill boat ramp and fills up containers with the water from the bay. As far as I know, the tide level does not matter.

The only published restriction is that you are not allowed to take certain species from the intertidal zone.

One of the risks, is the level of pollution at the time the water is collected.

That's the beauty of this forum, there is a member that can help in any field, from a novice to the experienced angler. If any content gets out of hand, the FV police are all over it.

The only "dumb" question, is a question that is never asked...

hears a dumb question... how many kids use fishvic, i can imagine not everyone is an adult here.. and thus i think this topic area might be good.. cos i can feel how a kid might be intimidated to ask a question for help on the most basic of things..

i would hope they dont get ridiculed for asking though too.

anyway.. as per the question... has there ever been a poll taken??, Kids/teen members, male members, female members and family members

and maybe also, landbased, boatie, land/boaty

meaning one that you just click the box.. and it does a tally up.

be interesting to see the demographics no?

There was a thread a while ago regarding age.
viewtopic.php?f=71&t=4103" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Many members responded. One member commented that he would never reveal his age cos there are too many 'pedos' out there. Start a poll if you want to as then people can then vote without revealing their info in public.
cheers

In my opinion know one owns the ocean or its god given water, it is for everyone. I can understand keeping an eye of fish stocks etc but when it comes down to the fact that you want to take a bucket of water that is just a plain joke.....i say go for your life no one technically owns the ocean and if i did get a fine for it i sure as hell wouldn't be paying it.

Ok i have a stupid question,(lol) i am going Lake Eppalock this weekend and want advice on what set up i should use on the banks. I am a real novice so keep the advice basic and easy to understand as do not really understand basic lingo.

Any ideas/tips would be great.
