Re: New to fishing...have a question?
Just started saltwater fishing this year after only having fished in fresh water. I notice the hooks and split rings on my lures started to go rusty in the tackle box. What's the best way to prevent that?

Re: New to fishing...have a question?
Putting a small silica pack in the box with them helps, as well as taking measures to avoid getting salt spray in the box. I also like to store used lures separately to unused ones to avoid getting salty water in the tray that has all my lures in it and keeping it refined to a smaller tray that only has lures I have used and or a few lures I plan to use that trip. Finally as Ian said rinse them after each trip and allow to air dry.

Stupid question time.
Today I went out fishing in ppb conditions weren't great I purchased some jig head 1/8 but was feeling like it was way to light and wasn't getting down to the bottom,so my question is can you put a running sinker on your line to weight it down more?
