was planning on heading down to mount eliza area for a day trip soon, was wondering if daveys bay beach is any good for flatty fishing and if so what placcys to use.

Never fished there before. But generally flatties can be anywhere and csn be in shallows, especially this time of year.
A 9ft rod flicking 1/8 or 1/6 jighead. They take all sorts of plastics, so give them all a try until you get one, and stick with it.
