QLD.
that would be right, the banana benders get all the sun, all the meter maids, and they get to go fishing on lock down. People wonder why Victoria gets called the nanny state.

Yes it is conflicting but the whole response to this pandemic from government has felt like we’ve been gaslighted from the beginning. And sadly, in this case it’s a state law thing and we don’t live in QLD. There wasn’t much wriggle room left to be confused about in the Victorian announcement I posted previously.

So no isolating alone on your boat (or on the bank) with a rod in the water, capiche? On the bright side, you can still get your hair cut. Or grab a take out latte and go for a walk with a friend to buy jigsaw puzzles because, you know, essential services, safety for women, fitness.

You can still fish in vic but you cannot go recreational boating.

Please explain? How does that fit in within the laws enacted in the attachment I posted previously (PDF link)? Unless you’re going to try and appeal that your casting is for exercise purposes!?!

Edit. The link again: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/sites/defau ... ons%20.pdf

It has been verified by VRfish that fishing is still allowed in VIC.

The purpose if obtaining food.

I really hope you’re correct. Can you provide a link please? I wonder if VRFish consulted with the Deputy Chief Health officer before publishing that. Haha. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

Edit: found the link. https://www.vrfish.com.au/2020/03/25/im ... -covid-19/

Doesn’t seem like the government departments are communicating between themselves. What a mess. At least this is a good reference as an excuse for getting out of a fine if the police approach you.

Good intentions but it is a mess.

Most important thing for everyone is to stay safe and do not get sick.

Not sure how credible this is, but if it's true that's one expensive ******* fishing trip!
