Whiting lures?
Just out of interest has anyone had any success, if so which lures were you using?
I know whiting are catchable on SFP but what about hard bodies.
Saw a video of some guys getting them on poppers of all things on youtube but will it work in Victoria (specifically near geelong/barwon heads)

Re: Whiting lures?
i reckon any plastic that looks like a worm might be the way to go with a slow drag along the bottom......

Re: Whiting lures?
Hey All,
Just wondering what soft plastic lures and hardbody lures are ideal for KGW ?. Would the TT Blade Vibe 48mm 10g work for KGW and even general whiting?.
Thanks

Re: Whiting lures?
I've done quite a bit of whiting fishing with lures locally. I've had some good sessions on flats around Westernport.
The best lures I've found are the Luckycraft Sammy's for choppy water and pretty well any popper on glassy water. I've also caught them on blades, but never on a plastic. The standout blade is the Ecogear ZX in black.
It's definitely hit and miss though. You can have identical conditions over two days, with one day smashing it and the next day donutting. I'm yet to work out the pattern, but when they are on, it's probably the best fun fishing to be had!
Cheers, Greggo
