Hey denis, at what point will they start to thin out for you leading up to winter, my trips May on wards seem to be slim pickings, I'm curious if it's the same with you ? you have a better handle on them living in the area with local knowledge where as I make intermittent trips...

Good of you to share denis... I normally pull the pin on the ting at the start of June but I may have to reassess this ?

I gather squid would be different to ting in regards to numbers in the cold climate ? I haven't read anything about squid catches with you lately ?.

Is fishing for whiting pointless during the day or just harder? Are there any changes in technique, bait or location you'd suggest during the day as opposed to the optimum times of dawn and dusk?

Try to avoid mid day fishing -If I do fish I look for deeper water
