Re: Filming underwater with a gopro

i would look into investing in a underwater filter for the gopro, makes it a lot more natural looking . you can get them on ebay. for the actual anchor, use a solid brick or something like that with a gopro mount on it and send it to the bottom with some sort of retrieval method like a rope to haul ...

Re: Mornington 12/01/2020 (underwater video)

Nice mackerel.
Pretty cool video. Did you just tie the camera on a line and drop it?

Re: Smoked wrasse

Marinate with salt over night to firm up the meat. Texture becomes more firm and flaky after salting and won't turn into mush. I pan fry it whole so it doesn't fall apart. For dipping sauce, mix together lemon juice, a bit of fish sauce, garlic, chili and sugar. Instead of just plain salt, try ligh...

Re: Cornacarpio's Cumulative Carp Culling Caper

I don't know how you do it, so jealous! I tried gc yesterday for 2 hours using corn and garden worms for nothing, not even a nibble. Tried a few different spots near station st. Do you keep moving until you see fish or just sit in one spot and hope for the best? It is a relatively tough creek and s...

Is TNA back up? Last I heard it was completely drained, but yeah it used to be full of carp.
They drained it I think in 2017? It's certainly full of water as of about 4 months ago.

Re: Spots between Glen Waverley to Bayswater North

Went to TNA today. There's only really the 1 spot that's fishable in the top lake because everywhere else is overgrown with bushes or the water is just weed. The bottom lake doesn't really have any open areas. I can confirm there are carp there though. But it's so shallow that they make waves when ...

Opening the 20/21 LBG account

Following what's been a horrific year in Melbourne, and a consequent 2 week delay when my car blew up, I finally made it away to attempt to open the 20/21 LBG account. Working at Aboslute until 9pm on Wednesday night, I -thought- I was organised enough to get up and get moving at stupid AM on Thursd...

Re: How to find carp spots

In my experience bread can definitely be more productive than corn but I haven't yet really cracked the code as to what conditions make bread the better option. What I like about bread though is you can cast a balled up piece of dough on a hook quite far without the need for a sinker, allowing you t...
