Those bearing kits are poor quality and not suitable for marine application. I don't have a boat trailer but do my tradie trailer every year. I use Timken and always use the marine ones and replace them every year and never have any problems and don't have to worry about them for the rest of the yea...

Hi joker are you sure the numbers etched on the bearing housing are the same. Did you replace the cup that's the bit the bearing runs in just make sure you put it in the right way round.

When I remove the old bearings I clean inspect them check the numbers on them and buy from a reputable source like bearing services if the bearings are in reasonable condition you can regrease and reinstall. Looks like you got the wrong hub, it looks shorter than the one you are replacing. Have you still got the old one? I always take the parts I am replacing with me when I go to buy new ones and do a quick compare, saves much hassle.
