After so much anticipation we were finally able to get out on the water. Like most people, we got out Sunday morning as it was cracker of a day and launched from Rye. As I am still new to this part of town I had no idea where I was going so we just continued to change spots and drift around the bay....

That flat water just hits differently. We went out the same day and just got a whole heap of gurnards.

Maybe if the weather takes a turn I’ll take the boat out, otherwise, it’ll be a Netflix kind of weekend.

Just thought I would share a few pictures from our trip last week up to north of NSW. I only had a telescopic rod that I took up with me and mainly used chicken breast and prawns for bait. Some great places to fish along the coast in all those inlets, running sinkers were the set up to use up there....

Good to hear you are catch something! I’ve been trying rosebud and rye pier for donuts. I’m out in Mornington now so I might head over for a quick fish or maybe spear fishing.
